Day 3: Feeling good
Full time job â 8.5 hours (9-6.30) managed to work through lunch half hour today.
Also realising that no one wants to read daily posts, so instead I will group them into 2/3 day bunches to make it less boring for anyone who actually wants to keep track.
Started online work at 8.00 today.
8-9 worked on social media accounts and internet/wifi issues again. Driving me round the bend. Only 30 mins work actually completed.
9-10 â Link analysis for a list of domains I have researched (50 domains total narrowed down to 1.. Not a great return but found 1 decent domain to get.)
10-12â Godaddy auctions using regcompass + link anaylsis of potential domains. Took a long time but found some great domains to buy.
12-2 â Spent 2 hours redesigning the theme for the sports blog and writing articles to schedule and making an infographic for the site
14 hours hitâ¦.And its 2 o clock. Tough tough day but at least I hit the magic number and got a lot done.
Number of hours worked = 14 (equal)
Number of âlostâ hours through travel/procrastination etc â 1.5
Number of coffees consumed â 1
Total +/- = -6
Day 4 â Didnât hit numbers but donât feel too tired yet
Still feeling pretty good at the moment although I know this day is going to be in the red as did spend time with the people I live with tonight.
Some people have been asking why I am doing this challenge still as it seems a bit âover the topâ and in a way it is, I mean 14 hours per day averaged over 30 days is going to be a killer physically and mentally but sometimes I think we try and wait for the precise time to start something, for example start a business or begin a project or even things like starting a diet, and the truth is there is no such thing as the ideal time to start something, it just doesnât happen.
Work â 8.5 hours 9.30-6
Gym/had dinner with the house mates â 6-10
Started just after 10. Around 10.30 in truth.
10.30-11.30 â Sorted emails, worked on social media accounts, posted to forums (yes I do class this as work), check design guys who are designing an infographic for me, and basically caught up on everything.
11.30-1 â Went through links on potential marketing ideas (had developed a link list of 15 blogs with marketing/advertising ideas for start up businesses.) Thought I would link to all the ones I checked out and what I thought, because⦠Well I want to.
1-1.30 â Godaddy auction links analysis
1.30-2 – Updated dieting website (shock factor saying they donât work. Instead this works, stop looking for the easy option, I will explain exactly what works hereâ¦.Link to the simple science.)
After reading a number of the blog posts tonight I think I am going to try and edit my working schedule to a morning one. Waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning working until 8 (3/4 hours) then going to work (collect my 8) leaving me with only 2 to do in the evenings.
Although I donât think I could ever wake up at 4 Iâm probably going to do an all-nighter soon to catch up on the hours, as well as try to sort this sleeping pattern.
Number of hours worked = 12 (-2)
Number of âlostâ hours through travel/procrastination etc â 2
Number of coffees consumed â 1
Total +/- = -8
