How much does your hosting location really have on your rankings?
The main aim was to see how much this affected 1 thing: Rankings.
On this matter this change instantly made the site a hell of a lot faster, along with a “site speed” package its now looking all good from a speed point of view.
Which is all fine, but who cares unless it improves rankings?Â
So I decided not to actively do any link building for a week and test on Friday 24th whether the upload speed had any effect and these are the results are:
Little to no change….
Copying a few serpfox graphs over, with when the site made the switch. As you can see for both (and what all the other primary keywords look like) little to no positive movement after the switch.
Now whether or not I will see any direct spikes in the coming days is yet to be known but from this post and another one I can’t find again, that the ranking changes should happen as soon as the hosting is changed. 1 thing I will mention before signing off for a week (will be checking in 1 week’s time to see if any update in rankings did actually occur) but we did have a problem transferring the site and it did show a database ERROR for a while, which is why I will re-look at the results in early May.
Thanks for reading.
